Most refinishing companies call it quits once the final coating has been applied. That's simply not good enough for us. Tub Revival returns the following day to perfect our work. Like a fine automotive paint job, we cut, buff, and polish our refinished bathtubs to make them look, feel, and perform fantastic. Other companies would charge a sizeable premium for this extra step. We do not charge extra for this necessary service.

Tub Revival uses only the highest quality and technologically advanced materials available to the trade. 

Any type of bathtub can be refinished. Standard porcelain, Garden Ovals, Clawfoots, Cultured Marble, Plastic, Fiberglass, etc. 

It's not even close. Home kits have virtually a 100% failure rate, and are far aesthetically inferior to our services. There is only one way to properly refinish a bathtub so that it looks new and last many years, and that's the hard way. Etching the porcelain, epoxy priming the surface, topcoating with a marine grade dual-staged aliphatic urethane, cutting and buffing the finish, etc. 

A home kit could never achieve the results true refinishing can.

Additionally, when a home kit has been used and it fails, a bathtub refinisher will need to strip the coating before he can properly refinish the bathtub, costing more. 

We will spend a full day in your bathroom refinishing your bathtub. Again, no shortcuts.

The following day, we return for a few more hours to finalize the process.

 It is recommended to wait 24 hours once we have finished before using your bathtub. 

So, to sum it up, it takes about 1 and a half days for us to refinish your bathtub.

New hardware can be installed, for an even newer appearance. Prices for drain sets vary of course, but is an easily affordable upgrade that really sticks out (usually between $75-$100)

We remove the drains, if possible, before all work is done. 

Bathtubs are slick! Anti-Slip surfaces are highly recommended to help keep you safe from falling. If you are having your bathtub refinished, we incorporate the smooth granules in the finish itself, on the bottom of the tub. This makes the surface functional, comfortable, and cleanable. 

Additionally, we can install Anti-Slip surfaces to items not being totally refinished, such as other bathtubs or a shower base.  

Absolutely. We seal off the bathroom and use an exhaust turbine, minimizing fume exposure as much as we can. If you stand near the bathroom while we are working, you may still be able to smell some products. The vast majority of fumes vacate through the exhaust hose outside and cause no issues for people inside. 

Do expect loud noises, such as sanders, turbine fans, and celebratory high 5's. 

Think of the finish on your bathtub as one like a quality boat's finish. Essentially, that's what the coating is, except it's porcelain white and deeply glossy. Very durable and scratch resistant.  

Damages on your bathtub or shower units will be repaired before we refinish the surface. Holes, cracks, chips, stains, whatever. We are skilled in repairing most anything thrown at us. There may be extra charges for severe damage, but most small chips and/or scratches are expected and you are not charged for.
